🔶 What is Felty’s syndrome?

Felty syndrome, যার আরেক নাম Chauffard-Still-Felty disease, হলো Rheumatoid arthritis এর uncommon extra-articular manifestation যেখানে commonly 3 টা clinical features পাওয়া যায়। 👇

• Seropositive rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
• Neutropenia.
• Splenomegaly.

এছাড়াও আরও যেসব clinical feature দেখা যায় :-

• Lymphadenopathy
• Keratoconjunctivitis sicca
• Vasculitis
• Leg ulcers
• Weight loss
• Recurrent infection
• Skin pigmentation
• Nodules

🔶 Felty’s syndrome সাধারণত কাদের হয়?

🔺 Age: 50-70 years
🔺Female > Male
🔺European > African
🔺Long standing rheumatoid arthritis
🔺Deforming but inactive disease
🔺Seropositive for rheumatoid factor

🔳 Laboratory findings :-

• Anaemia ( Normochromic, normocytic).
• Neutropenia.
• Thrombocytopenia.
• Abnormal liver function.
• Impaired T and B cell immunity.
